Over in Virginia Northern Neck KC (how did it get the name?) saw Abberann Owen Roe take Best of Breed with Abberann Derbla Best Bitch at both of their shows. Greater Fredericksburg held two shows with Derbla taking BOB at one with Ber-D-Mar Sweet William Best Opposite. At the second it was Owen Roe again BOB (with G4) and Derbla Best Opposite. Clearwater KC had Kilkenny's Irish American Classic at Castlerock taking the Glen of Imaal honours.

Finland has started their show year and at Kajaani International Gleann Una Noonan was Best of Breed with Gleann Indico Indy Best Dog.

What an incredible weekend indeed.

07.01.19
Before we celebrate the first 2019 Glen of Imaal Terrier achievements though the last of 2018 has to be honoured, particularly as it is from the Brains Department

Monique writes "Ginny qualified for the third time and earned her title in the Excellent Jumpers Preferred class at an AKC Agility trial on Sunday(30th)"

Thought the results were all going to be American this week, as they have the better January weather, but Jeonty Dreams A Dream with Karensbrae in Scotland flew the flag with a Group 3 at Bon Accord. The place many would like to be is Palm Springs and Keadeen Second Star To The Right obviously loved it as she was BOB both days. Columbiana KC saw Finnabair You Should Be So Lucky take Best of Breed and it was repeated at both Rubber City shows. Tipperary Uptown Girl and Kilkenny's Granite Aine of Cloddagh were the Best Opposites. The two Merrimack Valley Kennel Club shows saw double Group 2 placements for Abberann Lament for Owen Roe with Abberann Derbla Best Bitch.

Congratulations all.

17.12.18
This week let's start in America. The big Florida/Eukanuba/AKC Cluster started lasted Tuesday with Space Coast KC of Palm Bay (another wonderful name) and the first days honours went to Kilkenny's Across The Universe at Setanta with Abberann lament for Owen Roe Best Opposite, the two Selects Keadeen's Sir Emmet Mingus Glas & Daulton's Caoimhe of Pine Meadow. Brevard Kennel Club was next up and Across The Universe took the Best Opposite ribbon to Finnabair Double D Friend of a Friend. The two Selects were again Emmet and Caoimhe. Thursday was central Florida KC with Double D Best of Breed again, Caoimhe "moved up" to Best Opposite and Emmet picked up another Select along with Finnabair Shorlyne Caatskill Comedy Tonight. The finish was the 2018 AKC National Championship and Friend of a Friend was once again Best of Breed with Across the Universe Best Opposite. Two Selects were (Dog) Owen Roe and (Bitch) Caoimhe.

The Helsinki Winners had Gleann Indico Indy Best of Breed with Finnabair Broc Rua Arda of Gleann Best Bitch. Best Veteran Gleann Una Noonan. On the same day the Helsinki Puppy Show was held and BOB was Gleann Kahki Kylie and BOS Gleann Kooky Kanye. The Finnish Winners on the following day saw BOB going to Pearytail Bonnie B Goode and BOS to Gleann Flatbone Stiubhard. Another Puppy Show was held and Kooky Kanye was BOB and then waved to a very nice indeed 4th place in the Puppy Group. Best Opposite to him was Meomodo Divas Dancing Angel. The Swedish Winners was a triumph for Cairdiulacht Daibhi MacMiolmor and BOS (plus Swedish Veteran Winner) was Gleann Una Noonan.Glenrosedale Banríon Rós Croí made the journey to Russia and returned with two Best of Breeds and her Russian Championship

Ladies Kennel Association saw Boudivella Osca finish off a good year with Best of Breed and Sigrid Helga at Pantcottage was Best Bitch. When it is your first dog, your first show and you take home the Best Puppy rosette it's a fair bet a new exhibitor may have been born; welcome Doug The Dog aka Borderglen Michaelmas.

The "brain brigade" were also out in force, even at the Agility Invitational in Florida. Niamh was competing there and earned the Top in Breed Medallion for Glens. She was also awarded the Top Agility Glen of Imaal Terrier for 2017.Elsewhere Jeff Dairiki reports " Ciarán went six for six in the Masters ring this weekend at the RiverRat Barn Hunt trials, just earning his RATCHX8! He tied in points for the special Master Super Dog award for the weekend, but lost in the rat-off to Lisa Bennett's Airedale, Oakley". Griffin and Winston are just exhausting to read about sometimes as Kelli writes " Griffin and Winston trialled in AKC Scent Work this weekend and earned 3 new scent work titled total. Griffin received 6 qualifying in Advanced Scent Work (3 in buried, 1 in exterior and 2 and interior with placements) Griffin also earned his Advanced Buried title. Winston earned 6 qualifying scores in Advanced Scent Work ( 2 in buried, 2 in exterior, 1 in container and 1 in interior) Winston earned 2 Scent work titles in Advanced Interiors and Buried along with placements. I can't remember who earned which placements though! Monique sends news of Ginny in both Agility and Scent work "Ginny qualified and placed first in her Excellent Jumpers Preferred class at an AKC Agility trial on Saturday. On Sunday she qualified in all 4 element classes (Intermediate & Advanced levels) at a USCSS Scent Work trial and earned a title in Intermediate Interior."

Whatever they are doing Glen of Imaal Terrier people are just astounding!!

21.11.18

Holy Macaroni, Glen of Imaal Terriers have been doing us all so proud over the last couple of weeks it's hard to know where to start!

Canada can take the honours this week as it is a very rare breed there in the showring so Groups are the thing for competition. Gleann Holy Hannah took a Gp1 and Gp4 United Kennel Club and Group 2 x2 at Moncton. Abberann Derbla 2 X Gp3 at Credit Valley Kennel Club plus Gp4 Georgina KC. Staying on that Continent and Gleann Damn Daisy, holidaying there from Finland, is getting seriously noticed with a GP3 at Central Florida KC, GP4 at Jacksonville Dog Fanciers plus BOB at the 2nd show, 2 BOBs at Treasure Coast KC of Florida, BOB Seminole Dog Fanciers Association plus GP2 at Seminole's second show, Greater Ocala Dog Club was another BOB. BOS at Jacksonville was a new name to the blog, Long Lake Pharms Angus Fuller. Welcome to showing Glens and love your kennel name. Kilkenny's Irish American Classic at Castlerock was BOB Space Coast Kennel Club of Palm Bay and the second Greater Ocala.

Leaving Florida and going to Pennsylvania Ber-D-Mar Sweet William O'Shea was BOB Greater Philadelphia Dog Fanciers Association & both Kennel Club of Philadelphia. Tipperary American Girl took BOB Penn Treaty KC. Heading north and west Kilkenny's Across The Universe to Setanta, Gp4 at Pontiac KC & Greater Muskegon KC, BOB at Grand Rapids KC, Dayton KC, Lima KC with Abberann Lament for Owen Roe picking up GP4 at Kalamazoo KC and Daulton's Wild Night of Galore OHG4 at Pontiac KC and Grand Rapids. Daulton's Gedunk Malone from Emerald Isle picked up the last BOB of the weekend from Ohio

Northern Europe and Gleann Una Noonan has to do the lead in. Best Opposite at the Norwegian Winners as well as BOS at Jyvaskyla (Day 2) she was Best veteran in Breed day one and then took Best Veteran in Show out of over 70 veterans competing for the honour! Gleann Bigwig was BOB at the Norwegian Winners to her and Gleann Indico Indy at Jyvaskyla. Day 1 of that show saw Gleann Cotton Cody & Gleann Dear Dandelion taking the top honours. To Norway again and Rosears Master of The House was BOB Nordic Winners with BOS Pearytail Bonnie B Goode. Vaxjo (Sweden) was a BOB for Rosears Master of The House with Rosears Nugget of Gold Best Bitch. Flipping to the Danish Winners and Cairdiulacht Diarmuid MacMiolmor took Best and BOS was Rosears Nugget of Gold. Gleann Kooky Kanye was BOB at Lempäälä Puppy Show with Best Opposite Sex to Meomodo Dancing Angel. Two Best of Breeds in Germany for My Dear Fellow Calimero The Angel and in Rotterdam Amhard Manhattan took Best of Breed and his Dutch Junior Championship. Belgium to finish off and Boudivella Osca took BOB at both the Euro Dog Show & Benelux with Sigrid Helga at Pantcottage taking Best Opposite at both.

Said it had been a serious bit of breed promotion and it isn't done yet. The "brains" department was also flying the flag. Jeonty Dreams A Dream with Karensbrae passed her Silver Good Citizens and "Poppy" (need a name) in America also took her Good Citizens and earned 90 out of 100 in Rally Advanced. Keadeen's Blue Boy for Bluesette qualified RATCHX7 which makes him the highest qualified barn Hunting Glen in the USA. Daulton's Captain Jack of Roseglen took his BCAT title to show how incredibly diverse Glens are as a breed.

All over the world Glen of Imaal Terrier folk regularly give their time to promote the breed at many exhibitions and events. The National Pet Show was held recently and Alfie, Basil, Gil, Inga and Murfi showed everybody just what a Glen is. It's also great when breed owners decide to get together "just for fun" as happened recently with the New Jersey Fall Glen Gathering.

All of us are wowed with your dedication and talent to show the breed in so many places!

30.10.18
Midland Counties saw Mike Brown in the centre of the ring, it was the thought of the show that kept him going through his long weeks of chemotherapy and he was so pleased to be able to be there after a "sage nod" from his consultant. Best of Breed was Pajantick Razamataz with Wickholm Breaking Dawn Best Bitch. Jeonty Yippe Kiaye and Jeonty Letty Be Magic taking the respective Reserves. Best Veteran, Johnny Be Good of Romainville, left spectators in no doubt how thrilled he was to be back in the ring again.

Seinajoki (Finland) was a BOB for Cairdiulacht Daibhi MacMiolmor and Gleann Una Noonan was Best Bitch & Best Veteran. Delaware (Ohio) KC saw the breeds only reported Group placement when Daulton's Ciaran of Pine Meadow was OHG3. Sister Daulton's Caoimhe of Pine Meadow was Best Opposite. The 2nd Delaware Show saw Finnabair You Should Be So Lucky take top award. Daulton's Eili from Emerald Isle was Best of Breed last weekend at both Wenatchee Kennel Club shows and got her first Group placement (Gp4)

Jeonty Letty Be Magic was at Northwich & District Canine Society and had an excellent day with AVNSC Junior, Reserve Best NSC and a 1st in the Junior Stakes.

Karen Forbes was invited to represent the Kennel Club at a meet and greet to show that with care dogs and horses can be in the same place during exercise so Jeonty Dreams A Dream with Karensbrae went as part of the pack.

Monique reports for the "brains" department:- At an AKC Agility trial on Saturday, Ginny qualified in her first attempt ever in the Open Standard Preferred class and then qualified for the third time earning her title in the Open Jumpers Preferred class!

Congratulations everybody

23.10.18
Wow, Glen of Imaal Terriers are doing well at the moment. At The French Terrier Club Show Pajantick Razamataz took Best of Breed and then Best In Show. Well done indeed. The European Winners was in Poland this year and Glens attended from Austria, Denmark, England, Finland, Germany & Poland. Cairdiulacht Aoife NicAlainna from Austria was Best Of Breed with Finn Glenn Glen Limited Edition from Poland was Best Opposite. Hammersmolles Star Hercules was the Best Junior and Spirit of Ireland Beautiful was the Best Veteran. In Finland Lahti puppy show saw Gleann Kooky Kanye take Best of Breed with BOS to Gleann Kinda Kim K. At Birmingham Gundog & Terrier Jeonty Letty Be Magic was BOB.

Over in America Keadeen’s Sir Emmet Mingus Glas was in Illinois for the Prarieland Classic and had a very nice trip. Best of Breed at Champaign Illinois KC, Mattoon KC & Sandemac with a Gp3 at Champaign. Opposite To him was Kilkenny’s Across The Universe to Setanta, Abberann Learning To Fly at Glendalough and Abberann Black Velvet Band by Galore. He was Best Opposite though at Illinois Capitol KC when Black Velvet Band took the BOB ribbon for the ladies

Ginny (and Monique for writing) regularly keeps the “brains” section running. “Ginny qualified with a 1st place in Open Jumpers Preferred at the AKC Agility trial at Paws n Effect in CT. Then she had a perfect run, again 1st place, in the Novice Standard Preferred class for her 3rd Q and her NAP title! Woohoo! It’s been a couple of good agility w/ends for team Ginny!”

Discover Dogs was in London and, as always, the enthusiasts who man these booths, whatever part of the world they are in deserve our thanks. Bella, Candy, Dylan, Leia & Mutley flew the flag proudly in front of hundreds of people. Many thanks to them and their people!

Great weekend folks.

15.10.18
Sometimes it's the only thing you can do as you stand there in awe so keep clapping for Abberann Conan and Finnabair Double D Friend of A Friend. These two Glen of Imaal Terriers are record breakers and a half. Conan, just very recently celebrating his 13th birthday, has overtaken the Challenge Certificate record of Brockland Brayhead Lad which-at 20-was a number that was expected to stand for a long time. It lasted for just 17 months as Conan took CC number 21 at Belfast at the end of September. Group placements for Glens aren't that unusual in America but actual Group wins aren't that common. This past weekend Finnabair Double D Friend of a Friend took four group placements on the trot, 2 x Group 2 and 2 x Group 1 and at Greater Naples was signalled for his 6th Best In Show. a fabulous thing but it also meant he overtook Finnabair Ardmore Ned and his record of 23 Group 1s. What an example these two dogs are Glen lovers everywhere and they prove that if dedicated enough......

All the time Glen of Imaal Terriers heed the call that the time is right to leave their beloved people and do the solitary walk to the waiting eternal Glen family. All are missed and we ask that the applause keeps going for them and for another record breaking Glen who has just begun that walk. Tula was the first West Coast Glen to get a Grand Championship, the first Glen to earn the GITCA Master Versatility Award, the first and only Glen to earn Nose Work 3 and Nose Work Elite Titles. She successfully did Agility, Obedience, Rally Obedience, Earthdog, Barn Hunt & even had a Lure Coursing title. You name it and she did it with Louise. Grand Champion Broc Rua Tallulah CGS, CA, AJP, AZP, XFP, CD, RE, RATO, JE, NW2, NW3 you led the way for the breed. Thank you.

08.10.18
The biggie in the Glen of Imaal Terrier world this last weekend, as it is for any show terriers, is the group of shows known as the Montgomery Cluster. The 4 day event starts off with Hatboro 1, then Hatboro 2, Devon and finally Montgomery Terrier Show itself. Starting in Finnabair DD Ain't It The Life was BOB over her brother Finnabair Double D Friend of A Friend, her son Finnabair You Should be So Lucky was Best of Winners. Hatboro 2 also went the way of the ladies with Kilkenny's Across The Universe At Setanta over Friend of A Friend once more. Gleann Damn Daisy took BOW. Devon was a reversal of the Hatboro 1 top placings-Friend of A Friend over Ain't It The Life- with Damn Daisy again Best of Winners. Montgomery (with the GITCA Specialty) finished off the weekend with a repeat of the Devon results and Finnabair You Should Be So Lucky once again Best of Winners. America is one heck of a big country though and other Group placings were being recorded. Abberann Phelan was Group 3 at Greater Omaha Terrier Association & Abberann Lament for Owen Roe Gp4 at Cornhusker KC of Lincoln Nebraska. Canada also saw two Group placements (2xGp3) with Abberann Derbla at Nipissing KC

In Germany My Dear Fellow Cordula The Angel was BOB at Rostock and on the following day repeated her win at the Klub Fur Terrier Show. At that show Spirit of Ireland Batida de CoCo was Best Veteran and then won the Veteran Group! In Finland at Tuulos Group Show Gleann Gildea with Nellie took Best of Breed with Best Opposite Sex going to Gleann Ho Ho Hogan. Two days of showing in Ireland and once again it was the lady to the fore on day one with Daulton's Midnight Sky of Galore taking BOB over Golden Spurs. Day 2 Sky had to bend a paw as her kennelmate Abberann Conan pipped her for Best of Breed. South Wales Kennel Association means just two shows left with CCs for Glen of Imaals before the end of the year. At SWKA Boudivella Osca was the man over Jeonty Jyn A New Hope who took her third ticket and Best Opposite Sex.

"Brains" have also been in action. Laura Trainor writes We are competing at the Montgomery Terrier Agility trials. There is a competition for best breed "village" with the theme of the old west. The Mini Schnauzers had a photo booth to benefit their rescue. Unfortunately, Niamh was able to make use of their reasons to be WANTED for her standard run. She redeemed herself in her Jumpers run, qualifying under judge Pamela Sturtz. This Q was her 75th lifetime qualifying Master Jumpers With Weaves run, earning her the title Master Jumpers Preferred Gold! Later in the day she also qualified in Master Barn Hunt. Good Girl Niamh! and from Monique Anthony:-Ginny participated in AKC Agility trials this past weekend and qualified twice in the Novice Standard Preferred class and once in the Open Jumpers Preferred class, placing first or second each time.

Fabulous weekend all!

27.09.18
Championship, Open, Breed, Variety, Brains & serious socilising..Glen of Imaal Terriers have been doing their stuff this weekend.

Where to start this weekend? Finland as the breed's fabulous Veterans are saluted. At Hyvinkaa Group Show Gleann Una Noonan was Best of Breed, Best Veteran & Group 3. marfidal Rain Dance was Best Opposite Sex to her. In Tallinn Rosears Master of the House was BOB whilst at the Danish Winners Gleann Gildea with Nelli was Best of Breed and Gleann Ho Ho Hogan Best Dog. The Danish Club Specialty Show on the following day had Abberann Celtic Princess in the top spot with Gleann Ho Ho Hogan Best Dog.

A bit quieter weekend in America (people getting prepared for Montgomery perhaps) but still Group placements. Two Group 2s for Kilkenny Across The Universe at Setanta at Sheboygan and a OHG4 for Tipperary That Girl who was Best Bitch to Finnabair Double D Friend of A Friends BOB at Butler County who Himself then took a Group 2 at the second Butler County Show. West Volusia KC saw Kilkenny's Irish American Classic at Castlerock take Best of Breed.

Glens were in varieties in the UK and most successfully. Boudivella Osca was at Bedfordshire Canine Society where he took Best NSC, Group 4 and 1st in the Vulnerable Breed Stakes. Up in Scotland Jeonty Dreams A Dream with Karensbrae was at Perthshire CC and was rewarded with a Group 1 placement from NSC Terrier.

Monique writes that "Ginny earned her AKC Advanced Interior Scent Work title on Sunday. This title combined with the 3 earned last weekend in Advanced Buried, Container, and Exterior completes the requirements for her overall Scent Work Advanced (SWA) title!" and the Dutch Glen Games in the Netherlands were evidently a total blast and the NE Glen Gathering in Massachusetts had a wonderful time practising sociability for their big 25th next year!

Great weekend everybody.

10.09.18
Glen of Imaal Terriers triumph in many fields but how about this…..Laura Trainor writes:- Niamh (GCH PACH Niamh of Cnoc CD PCD BN RE MXP9 MXPG MJP7 MJPS PAX2 MFP T2BP JE RATM CGCA TKI) earned her RATCH today at Central Bark. This makes her the first Triple Champion Glen earning Championships in three different disciplines! Just awesome and then Jeff Dairiki writes:- both boys hunted as well as they ever have this weekend at The Club at Argus Ranch’s Barn Hunt trials. Both dogs had a 100% Q-rate through the long weekend! That was just enough for Ciarán to earn his RATCHX6 and Quinn his RATCHX5 in the final trial of the weekend. (Both dogs notched up Crazy 8 titles as well — Ciarán platinum, and Quinn gold.) What a weekend for the breed in other disciplines.

Porvoo All Breed Show in Finland saw Rosears Master of the House BOB with Gleann Una Noonan Best Bitch & Best Veteran. The N.I. Terrier Association Group Championship Show was a Best of Breed for Abberann Cosmic Cowboy and kennelmate Daulton’s Midnight Sky of Galore Best Opposite Sex. London & Home Counties Terrier was where Wickholm Breaking Dawn got the nod over Jeonty Lola May at Wickholm and at Lochabers Jeonty Dreams A Dream with Karensbrae took 5th, and money, in a huge Open Bitch Stakes (not bad at 13 months old) and then won Good Citizens with over 20 in the class…….oh yes and £10. In The States at Umpqua KC Keadeen Second Star To The Right was BOB and she repeated it at South Oregon Kennel Club. The exhibiting biggie of the weekend was Kilkenny’s Across the Universe at Setanta winning the Terrier Group both days in Kenosha Wisconsin and Reserve Best in Show on Saturday.

You all do us so proud.

Editors Note: Barn Hunt is the new and quickly growing dog sport catching fire across the USA! Barn Hunt is based on the traditional roles of many breeds in ridding farms, barns, crop storage areas, and homes of destructive vermin. Some breeds were specifically created to fill this role, and for many of those breeds, Barn Hunt provides their first true opportunity for responsible breeders to test proper working traits in their dogs. Barn Hunt is also open to any dog of any breed or mix who wishes to play the game and can fit through an 18" wide by bale-height tall tunnel. Barn Hunt has titles, levels of increasing difficulty, and championships. Barn Hunt is an independent sport, but titles are recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC), the United Kennel Club (UKC), and the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC).
Barn Hunt is committed to creating a safe and fun sport for dogs, that also holds rat care at the highest level of consideration. The rats used in Barn Hunt are beloved family pets. They jump eagerly into their safe, comfortable aerated tubes and truly enjoy interacting with the dogs.

Our "brains department" has also been performing. She passed 2 of these tests and is now AKC Farm Dog Certified." Quinn-Kilkenny's Love and Happiness-has completed the requirements for the GITCA Master Versatility lifetime award as he can now put CAA CGCA CZ8S RATCHX4 SE TKN after his name. Many Glen of Imaal Terrier people who were in Amsterdam last weekend were glad to get home for a rest. Others just kept on going. It was the Baltic Weekend in Estonia. Friday was the Harjuma Group Show. Best of Breed was Pearytail Candy McCoy who was shortlisted in the Group. Pearytail Donald Dump was Best Opposite and Pearytail took BIS 2 (Breeders). Saturday was the Baltic Winners with (for Estonia) a big entry of 15. BOB to Gleann Dynamite Mike and Gleann Gildea with Nelli Best Bitch. Sunday was the Terrier Specialty with the Pearytail pair taking the top awards again. Kouvola (Finland) saw Gleann Flatbone Stiubhard get the nod for Best of Breed with Astoreen Best Opposite.

Welsh Kennel Club and it was Abberann Cosmic Cowboy for Best of Breed with Romainville Whistle Dixie Best Bitch. The two Reserves were Abberann Conan and Romainville Maggie May, so a double double. Jeonty Dreams A Dream of Karensbrae kept the breed flag ably flying with a 1st in the Junior Stakes. The Irish Circuit has begun with the All Terrier and Clonmel. Sigrid Helga at Pantcottage was Best of Breed at both.

In Canada Abberann Derbla has been keeping the breed flag flying with Gp3 at both Kilbride & District & St Catharines & District and Gp2 & 4 at Grey-Bruce Kennel Club (another great name). South Adirondach Dog Club had Kilkenny’s Best of My Love take home the BOB award.

Congratulations all.

Where is the year going...August already but Glen of Imaal Terrier people are still bring the breed's name to the fore. Last week we applauded under 12 months Keadeen's By Happy Chance taking a G1 and this week we're beginning again with "the kiddies" as Tipperary Uptown Girl takes a Group 1 & 2 in the (not sure what it's called in America) Baby Puppy 4-6 month competition.

A group of 10 Finns may have already started their journey to Amsterdam but the shows in their home country continue. Three shows over three days at Kuopio saw the honours go to Gleann Ho Ho Hogan with Pearytail Bonnie B Good Best Opposite, Meomodo Boho's Trick or Treat BOB Bonnie again BOS and the 3rd show was Astoreen Best of Breed with Gleann Hogan Best Dog. In Sweden Gleann Bigwig took a Best of Breed.

Over in the States it was double BOBs (Fort Steuben & Beaver County KC) for Tipperary That Girl. A cluster of shows in Virginia had Kilkenny's Across The Universe at Setanta take 3 Best of Breeds and a G4. Abberann Phelan had to bow the paw at all three shows.

In the Brains Department Monique sends news of Ginny who "qualified twice with first place finishes this weekend in AKC agility and earned her Novice Jumpers Preferred (NJP) title." So she is now Elric’s Gin & Tonic NJP ACT1 BCAT RATO TKP SWN SCNE

Many parts of the world have been recording very high temperatures but Glen of Imaal Terrier folk obviously thrive on the heat.

For a change let's start the round up in Canada. Not a big dog showing country but boy do they like Glens with Gleann Holy Hannah taking 2 x Group 1, 2x Group 2 and 2x Reserve Best In Show and Finnabair Double D Friend of A Friend taking the full set in Groups, one, two, three and four all on the same weekend!

In Finland at the Nastola Group Show Meomodo Boho's Trick or Treat was Best of Breed, at the Nordic Pearytail Bonnie B Goode was BOB with Rosears Impromptu Best Dog and at Pori International Gleann Ungus MacGuire was BOB with Balloo Girl Best Opposite. Mikkeli International saw Gleann Indico Indy getting the nod for Best of Breed

In Ireland Poachersmoon Sissy McGinty was Best of Breed and at the EFG Fun Day (another event that was hot, hot, hot) a Dachshund was Best In Show and the Glen (who was on holiday from Germany) was Reserve Best In Show. By the weekend of Leeds Championship Show the weather had become wet, wet, wet but that didn't stop Golden Spurs (Best Dog) and kennel mate Sigrid Helga at Pantcottage taking Best of Breed. The two Reserves to Boudivella Osca and Jeonty Dreams A Dream at Karensbrae.

The American branch of the family has been VERY active. Laura Trainor sends the following information:- 7/12 BOB OHG2, G2 GCH DAULTON'S CAOIMHE OF PINE MEADOW CA. Owner: Jody Daulton & PJ Estes & Ann Marie Pember BOS CH DAULTON'S CIARAN OF PINE MEADOW Owner: JB & Nina Lawton & PJ Estes & Jody Daulton.

7/13 BOB OHG1 GCH DAULTON'S CAOIMHE OF PINE MEADOW CA. Owner: Jody Daulton & PJ Estes & Ann Marie Pember BOS CH DAULTON'S CIARAN OF PINE MEADOW Owner: JB & Nina Lawton & PJ Estes & Jody Daulton

7/14 BOB, OHG2, G4 GCH DAULTON'S CAOIMHE OF PINE MEADOW CA. Owner: Jody Daulton & PJ Estes & Ann Marie Pember BOS TIPPERARY BALLYFINBOY LIAM OF CNOC Owner: Laura Gilbert Trainor & Jo Lynn

At Grand River Kennel Club Finnabair Shorlyne Caatskill Comedy tonight was Best of Breed (and G4) with Tipperary Ballyfinboy Liam of Cnoc again Best Opposite that was the icing on his Best of Winners at Ashtabula KC on the 12th July as that was the final points for his American Championship. Caoimhe is really on song at the moment as BOB was also taken (twice) at Dan Emmett KC along with an OHG4 as well as two Best of Breeds at Western Reserve KC where a G4 and an OHG3 were collected as well. The two Best Opposites were Daulton's Gedunk Malone from Emerald Isle and Daulton's Sailor John of Roseglen. Marion (Ohio) KC also fell to her with Ciaran Best Dog again

Continuing in the States a new star arose at Terrier Association Of Oregon when Keadeen's Happy Chance-at just under a year old-was nodded to for Best of Breed and then he took OHG1 and Group 4. Best Botch was Keadeen's Second Star To The Right. The back to back shows at Portland Kennel Club saw Keadeen's Second Star To The Right triumph at both with Keadeen's Sir Emmet Mingus Glas and Keadeen's Happy Go Lucky the Best Opposites. Another young star has also emerged further down the country at Woodstock Dog Club when 7 months old Kilkenny's Stopping By Woods was Best Opposite and PG3 to his mother Kilkenny's Granite Glen Rooney. This was again repeated at Green Mountain whilst at Green Mountain second show Rooney took the honours again with Ballyhae's Winter Sunshine taking Best Opposite.

Way to go people!!

Finnabair Double D Friend of a Friend took a short sojourn in Canada for the
Sarnia cluster and returned home with 2 x Group 2, 1 Group 3, 1 x Group 4
and his Canadian Championship. The first American bred Glen of Imaal
Terrier to obtain it. Finnabair DD Ain't It The Life was also in Canada and
collected three Group 4s. In Scotland Bon Accord is the local show for
Jeonty Dreams A Dream with Karensbrae and it was rather a good one for a
finish to her puppy career. Puppy Group 1 and first in Vulnerable Breeds.
Over in Ireland Abberann Cosmic Cowboy was BOB at Bray.

In Finland Oulu International Show saw Gleann Flatbone Stiubhard take Best
of Breed with Astoreen Best Opposite. It was also the weekend of the Finnish
Glen Club Show with a fabulous entry of 51. Best In Show went to Gleann
Cotton Cody with Gleann Happy Hippie Best Bitch. Best Veteran was Abberann
Fagan with Best Puppy being awarded to Finnabair Broc Rua Arda of Gleann.
The Youngest Junior Handlers had a wonderful time!

In America a cluster of shows at West Springfield, Massachusetts, saw some
nice Glen entries. Ber-D-Mar Sweet William O'Shea was Best of Breed at all
four (picking up a Gp4 at Kenilworth KC of Connecticut inc) with Kilkenny's
Granite Glen Rooney celebrating a return to the ring after her litter of ten
with 3 x BOS and an OHG4. The other Best Opposite going to Kilkenny's
Midleton of Irish Spirit.

Congratulations everybody

How to start? We like to give great Glen of Imaal Terrier things the first
shout so this week it was a toss of the coin and it came down heads so "the
boys" are the breed's lead in guys. Kelli sends news that "Griffin and
Winston received their AKC Trick Dog Elite Performer (TKE)
<https://www.akc.org/sports/trick-dog/about-trick-dog/> titles! The new
Elite Performer title is the highest level trick title and requires the dog
to perform 10 tricks from the advanced and performer level tricks with at
least 5 props and there must be a story." It's a first for Glens and if you
want to see just what the boys can do take a look at You Tube
<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWqjpiepSSI&feature=youtu.be> The boys
weren't the only brains in action as Monique writes about Ginny "who Q'd in
3 classes at the Performance Scent Dogs trial in CT. She qualified in
Advanced Buildings and then did very well in both Advanced Containers
classes, earning a 2nd place in the first class and finishing her title in
the 2nd class! "

If the coin had come up tails the first news would have been of Boudivella
Osca taking Best of Breed in Switzerland and so obtaining his International
Championship title. Not something that usual at all for Glens whelped in the
UK. Blackpool Championship Show saw another first for Glens. Romainville
Becks Blue for Zippor was Best of Breed with Jeonty Dreams a Dream with
Karensbrae Best Bitch & Best Puppy. She was also taken into the YKC Terrier
Stakes and won that, a first for Glens? Running with the "blimey we're good
theme" is a Group placing in Holland, again not a usual occurrence, but
Jeonty Junior Fire and Ice was nodded to Gp4 at Zwolle.

In Finland Marfidal Santa Baby was BOB with Pearytail Donald Dump Best
Opposite (nice entry of 19 Glens) at Kotka whilst in Rovaniemi Gleann Gildea
with Nelli annexed the Best of Breed rosette with Glenrosedale Ardal Ridire
Ain Ri was Best Dog. Aura Group Show Highlanders Dream Casper took BOB and
Gleann Funnyfifi Stiubhard Best Bitch. Salo Dog Show saw Glenrosedale
Caireann Chasdubh as Best with Breed with Hammersmolles Rocket Saturn Best
Opposite Sex.

In America Finnabair Double D Friend of a Friend has been having a great
run. Over a couple of weeks he took 3x Group 2, one Group 3 and 2x Group 4.
The results from the Tampa cluster saw Kilkenny's Irish American Classic of
Castlerock Best Opposite to him. Western Pennysylvania KA was a triumph for
Daulton's Wild Night of Galore and Echo Hills KC of Ohio saw Finnabair Broc
Rua Pegasus with Shorlyne Best of Breed. And finally another tremendous US
KC name. Please let Lewiston-Auburn Kennel Club of Maine be as good as it's
name. Glendalough's Fergus O'Quinn wasn't really bothered though as he took
Best of Breed. From Clackamas KC (Oregon) Jeff Dairiki sends Ciarán,
Keadeen's Blue Boy for Bluesette, had a great weekend going BOB both days.
Saturday's judge was Linda Wells. Sunday he went on to place fourth in the
Terrier group under judge Lorraine Bisso. Ciarán also completed three
qualifying master Barn Hunt runs, earning his RATCHX5! Stella, Keadeen's
Second Star to the Right, went BOS both days. Chance, Keadeen's by Happy
Chance, went WD/BOW on Saturday; Tristan, Keadeen's Happy Go Lucky, took
WD/BOW on Sunday. Lulu, Keadeen's Luck be a Lady, went WB both days. Quinn,
Kilkenny's Love and Happiness, was awarded select dog both days." Kate Flack
has also been busy "The bifurcated 2018 Montana 'death circuit' is behind us
...10 show days in 12 days. Stamina is Emmet's (Keadeen's Sir Emmet Mingus
Glas) middle name! He brought home 3 Terrier Group rosettes (...two Third
Place and 1 Fourth Place) along with seven NOHS group placements (3 OHGr
1's, 2OHGr 2s and 2OHGr3)."

Great session everybody and, as usual, you all do the breed proud!

13.06.18
Let's begin this week in California as it's a while since there have been a
number of Glen of Imaal Terriers showing in that State. Yosemite KC had a
back to back with Keadeen's Second Star To The Right Best of Breed both
days. Keadenn's Happy Go Lucky and Keadeen's Kind of Blue were the two Best
Opposites. Contra Costa County KC (another great name) was another double
triumph again for Second Star with Happy Go Lucky once again Best Opposite.
Moving east to McKinley KC Daulton's Captain Jack of Roseglen took the top
Glen award there. Greenwich Kennel Club had Ber-D-Mar Sweet William taking
BOB. Abberann Phelan was THE man of the weekend, at b2b shows at Wheaton KC
he was Group 1 both days and Reserve Best In Show on the second!

The Scandinavian enthusiasts put us all to shame with their enthusiasm week
after week. Rosears Made To Measure was Best of Breed at Forssa with
Marfidal Santa Baby Best Bitch. In Palanga (Lithuania) Rosears Kate the
Duchess was BOB and became a new Lithuanian and Baltic Champion. The Latvian
Winners saw Gleann Indico Indy take the "big rosette" with Gleann Una Noonan
Best Opposite. Miijoonakoira was another Best of Breed trophy for Gleann
Flatbone Stiubhard with Astorren Best Bitch.

Jeonty Dreams A Dream with Karensbrae was out in Varieties and at Dundee was
Best Not Separately Classified.

In the "Brains Department" Laura Trainor reports " Liam, Niamh and Kylee
found the Pi-rats at the Central Bark Barn Hunt trial. Niamh earned 3 Master
Qs."

30.05.18
Bank Holiday weekend so extra time for Glen of Imaal Terrier people to go
showing and, boy, we sure did! There are a lot of results with a bunch from
Scandinavia/Lithuania. If eyes crossed when writing them up just let me
know.

Leading in with Bath Championship Show and applause for Sigrid Helga at
Pantcottage who was BOB but more importantly it was her 3rd CC. Dog CC went
to Romainville Becks Blue for Zippor with Romainville Whistle Dixie and
Boudivella Osca taking the respective Reserves. Jeonty Glynis Making Magic
For Zippor was Best Puppy.

The Helsinki Puppy Show saw Finnabair Broc Rua Arda at Gleann be awarded BOB
with Meomodo Careless Cuinn Best Opposite. Joensuu International was
atriumph for Finnabair North American Nebulon with Rosears Miss Miimos Best
Bitch. The places were reversed at Joensuu All Breed Show the next day.
Moleti International Dog Show saw Rosears Master of the House Best of Breed
and Astoreen Best Opposite. Rauma Dog Show went to Gleann Indico Indy and
BOS was Taramont Niamh Tirnan'Og. At the Lithuanian Terrier Club Show Gleann
Flatbone Stiubhard was Best with Astoreen Best Bitch. Salo Group Show had
Hammersmolles Rocket Saturn getting the nod for the big ribbon.

Finnabair Double D Friend of A Friend just has to lead the American round up
with Groups 1 & 3 at back to back Bayou Kennel Club shows & then a Gp1 at
Southern Arkansas KC. The Owner Handler Group was also seeing "Glendom" with
a Group 1 for Tipperary That Girl at Trumbull County KC, OHG3 at Altoona
Area Kennel Association and a repeat OHG3 at Newcastle KC. Holland Michigan
Kennel Club saw another Glen Group placing for Abberann Phelan (Gp3) with
Kilkenny's Across The Universe at Setanta taking Best Opposite, the placings
were reversed at Grand Rapids Kennel Club. Phelan was again BOB at Kalamazoo
KC with Daulton's Wild Night of Galore Best Opposite, Best owner Handler and
OHG4. Hendersonville Kennel Club back to back shows had Kilkenny's Middleton
Irish Spirit taking BOB at both with another BOB at Spartanburg KC with
Kilkenny's Quandarry at Parrsons BOS.

The UK is really the only country that still has a lot of Open Shows and
that (to many US & FCI) strange thing known as Varieties. To show a Glen of
Imaal Terrier in those classes is to have conviction. Jeonty Dreams A Dream
at Karensbrae was at Banff, Moray & Nairn Canine Club and bought home BAVNSC
Terrier and G2, she also won Special Terrier Puppy, 1st in junior stakes,
4th in members stakes and 4th in The Mary McCance stakes.

Great going everybody!!

16.05.18
Last week it was easy to decide which Glen of Imaal Terrier should lead the
"honour roll" round up and it's easy this week as well. Please everybody,
stand and applaud Billy Tow vom Au Deich who, at the Dutch Championship
Show, took Best Dog for the 7th time and Best In Show for the 4th. Oh yes,
he was Best Veteran as well. Best Bitch was his kennel mate McJake's Aivy.
Another Veteran Best of Breed was Abberann Conan who added yet another
ribbon to his tally at The National. Best Bitch came from the other end of
the scale when Jeonty Jyn A New Hope got the nod from Junior. It was worth
the trip for the Abberanns as Cosmic Cowboy was Reserve Dog & Reach For The
Stars Ryanne Reserve Best Bitch. Best Puppy Amhard Off The Cuff

Nice to hear from Australia where "Neuter" titles are on offer. Taufield
Queen of Tara was Runner Up Neuter and Best Neuter at her last two shows
which gives her 96 out the 100 points needed. The European Winners in
Dortmund saw Jeonty Junior Fire & Ice increasing his reputation with Best of
Breed, Fire & Ice Naomi was Best Bitch. In Ireland Daulton's Midnight Sky of
Galore represented Glens in the Group ring. Gleann is an affix that
regularly appears here but this week the first mention is from Canada and
Dartmouth Kennel Club with a Group 4 and two Group 2s for Gleann Holy
Hannah. Crossing the sea to Scandinavia and Jarvenpaa with Gleann Indico
Indy as BOB and Gleann Halloween Hattie Best Opposite. Oulu Nordic Show saw
Gleann Flatbone Stiubhard with the big ribbon and Gleann Halloween Hattie as
Best Bitch. Gleann Ho Ho Hogan was Best of Breed at Seinajoki Group Show.

In America at Ravenna Kennel Club Tipperary That Girl was Best of Breed with
Daulton's Sailor John of Roseglen Best Dog at one show with the results
repeated at another but it was G4 for American Girl & BBEG2 for Sailor John.
Klanath Dog Fanciers had a back to back set of shows and Keadeen's Sir Emmet
Mingus Glas had a OHG2 and OHG3 whilst Keadeen's Something Like A Phenomenon
was Best Opposite both days but she went one better with a fabulous Puppy
Group 1.

You all do us proud!!!

09.05.18
Glen of Imaal Terriers quite often position in the Group in America but in
Europe it is quite rare so the lead in today just must go to Jeonty Junior
Fire & Ice who was BOB at Lingen, Germany and then went on to Group 3! Best
Bitch at the show was My dear Fellow Cordula the Angel. In Prague My dear
Fellow Bealtaine de Coco took Best of Breed with My dear Fellow Cordula the
Angel Best Opposite. At another show in the Czech Republic My dear Fellow
Clärchen the Angel was Best of Breed. In Sweden (Vasteras) Marfidal
Pleasant Surprise was Best of Breed and Marfidal Up To Your Ears-great name-
was taking a short holiday in Serbia & Estonia and was rewarded with BOB at
each. Tampere Nordic Show was a triumph for Gleann Flatbone Stiubhard with
BOS being awarded to Pearytail Candy McCoy. He did it again on the Sunday
Show with Gleann Una Noonan being awarded Best Bitch. At WELKS Romainville
Billy Wizz was Best of Breed with Sigrid Helga at Pant Cottage Best Bitch,
Jeonty Glynis Making Magic for Zippor was Best Puppy

In America Tipperary American Girl was BOB and OHG1 at Mountaineer Kennel
Club, at Crawford County KC Glens again featured in the Owner Handler Group
with Daulton's Sailor John of Roseglen being pulled in number four and over
in California Finnabair Caatskill Bring It On at Broc Rua was OHG3 twice.
Bucks County KC saw Ber-D-Mar Sweet William O'Shea get the nod for BOB
whilst at Fort St Clair KC it was Kilkenny's Middleton Irish Spirit.

Brains were busy as well as beauty. Eili earned her Novice Barn Hunt RATN &
Jeff Dairiki's news is that Ciarán and Quinn each earned their Barn Hunt
RATCHX4 titles and there is news of "Pepper". She was running FastCat at
Brevard KC and earned her BCAT title. The Brains round up is always done
with call names but registered names are liked for the first mention so
Pepper....who are you?

16.04.18
Glen of Imaal Terrier folk are still getting the name of the breed out and
about. Pride of place this week has to go to the latest, and youngest,
member of the "shout out" team. Finnabair Broc Rua Arda of Gleann was in
Estonia at her first show and only went on to take Best Puppy and then Best
Baby Puppy in Show! Also in Estonia at the Tallinn Winners Cairdiulacht
Daibhi MacMiolmor was Best of Breed over Pearytail Bonnie B Goode. At the
Terrier Specialty the following day Daibhi had the bow the paw as Madra
Athas Ceinlys Chead Ghra was Best of Breed. In Finland at Vaasa
International Dog Show Gleann Flatbone Stiubhard was Best of Breed with BOS
being awarded to Gleann Dear Dandelion. Utrecht International Dog Show saw
Boudivella Osca being awarded Best Dog & BOB with Boudivella Tegan Best
Opposite.

In America Keadeen's Second Star To The Right was at Moses Lake for BOB and
Group 3. Jeonty Golden Memo was at a cluster of shows in California and took
Best of Breed at both Northern California Terrier Association Shows as well
as Sacremento KC.

Griffin was showing another talent by doing 5 AKC FAST CAT runs. FAST CAT is
a timed 100 yard run with the dog chasing a mechanically operated lure. 19
miles and hour is going some in a short legged breed!

Congratulations everyone!

Sometimes a show just has to start the Glen of Imaal Terrier catch up and
this is one of those weeks; National Terrier. It’s considered one of the
highlights of the terrier world and folk were there in force and it was a
double, double result. Best of Breed and Best Opposite to the same owner
with the two Reserves to the same owner…..and there was getting on for 40
years in the breed difference between them so ably illustrating that it is
possible to do well with a Glen whoever you are. Something else was
gloriously illustrated as well; Glens just get better and better as they get
older. In possibly the majority of breeds animals of 10 & 12 wouldn’t be
considered for serious showing. As there was no veteran class these mere
youngsters were entered with everybody. One stood second between a two and
three year old and the other swept all before him as he took the Dog ticket
and BOB. Abberann Conan had one of the ultimate compliments paid by a judge
who happened to be walking by the ring “that can’t be Homer surely!” To be
recognised and known by his call name, that’s the way to go. Bitch CC to him
was his kennel mate Daulton’s Midnight Sky of Galore which gave her the CH
to add to the others at the front of her name. The two reserves went home in
the proud pocket of Jane Alstead with the awarding to her Golden Spurs and
Sigrid Helga at Pantcottage. Best Puppy went to Jeonty Dreams a Dream with
Karensbrae who earned extra kudos for Glens with a 4th in the Puppy Stakes
as well as a placing in the YKC Handling.

The Pearytail D litter debuted at the Kotka Puppy Show weekend and had
rather a successful time. Pearytail Donald Dump took BOB both days over his
sister Pearytail Dillion Dollar Baby and then topped it with a Group 3 and a
Group 4. Sundsvall (Finland) saw Gleann Flatbone Stiubhard take home the
Best of Breed rosette. Meomodo Boho’s Trick or Treat was having a trip to
Lithuania and took Best of Breed both days as well as being shortlisted in
the Group on Day 1. My Dear Fellow Cordula The Angel was BOB & BP at Dresden
whilst Jeonty Junior Fire & Ice was picking up the applause at the
International Show in Luxembourg.

Finnabair Double D Friend of a Friend had a great cluster in Alabama. Group
1 both days at Tuscaloosa KC with Group 2 & 1 at the Birmingham KC shows.
Abberann Lament for Owen Roe was at Packerland KC over Easter and took Group
4.

Lots of “beauty” but the brains of the breed were also on the go over the
weekend when Ginny added another title to the back of her name so BCAT (AKC
Fast CAT-100 yard Coursing Ability Test) joins the rest

National Terrier is often on Easter weekend but this year it was missed by a
week. Nicki Montford said she would “provide cake” in honour and what a
creation it was. Chocolate cake, with more chocolate cake and decoration of
mini eggs and crème eggs. Suffice to say none of it returned home with her.
Thanks Nic, it was greatly appreciated. Over the years Glen of Imaal Terrier
owners have fought a long battle on how the name is spelt, it’s part of
owning the breed, but jaws dropped when arriving at the benching area at
National Terrier. The first Championship Show to gives us classes, the show
that terrier folk go to and there it was….Glen of IMMAL. The Chairman and
Secretary of NT, when the matter was bought to their attention, both swore
innocence and said there would be spelling and breed awareness courses
introduced before next year. We expect nothing less!

Great weekend everybody

06.04.18
It may have been easter but some Glen of Imaal Terriers (and their people)
were out and about flying the flag. In Ireland at Combined Canine Abberann
Cosmic Cowboy was Best of Breed whilst in the UK Amhard Manhattan was taking
BP, BOB & Puppy Group 4. Two days of showing at Imatra (Finland) resulted in
a Best of Breed for Finnabair North American Nebulon on Day 1 and the
International Show on day 2 had Meomodo Boho's Trick or Treat take BOB & his
first CACIB. Over in Sweden at Malmo McCormac Setna Sithbacc took Best of
Breed over his half sister Olga.

Nice going everybody!

28.03.18
We'll start off in Europe as usual and what a start in Finland. At Lahti 2
day International Show Gleann Cotton Cody was Best of Breed, Gleann Una
Noonan Best Bitch, but then he went onto Group 1 and BIS 4!!! Is there any
Glen of Imaal Terrier that has done so well in Europe? Marfidal Devil's Rock
was in Estonia and took BOB there.

A belated result from Australia. Taufield Queen of Tara was Neuter BOB and
then was Neuter Runner Up in Group. Another Group notch in his belt to
Finnabair Double D Friend of A Friend with a couple of Group 3s in Florida,
with Finnabair You Should Be So Lucky taking an OHG3, and Kilkenny's Irish
American Classic at Castlerock was in North Carolina for a run of Best of
Breeds, Cary & Alamance KC amongst them. Jeff Dairiki sends news from the
two-day Peninsula Dog Fanciers Club cluster in Bremerton, Washington. Seven
Glens (1-2-3/1) showed each day.On Saturday, March 24, under judge Marjorie
Underwood, Ciarán (GCHB Keadeen's Blue Boy for Bluesette CAA RATCHX3 CZ8B)
took BOB/BOBOH and went on to an owner-handler group 1. Eili (Daulton's
Eili from Emerald Isle) BOW, Stella (GCHB Keadeen's Second Star to the
Right) BOS, Quinn (CH Kilkenny's Love and Happiness CA SE RATCHX3 CZ8S) took
Select Dog, and Miles (Keadeen's Kind of Blue) WD. Sunday, March 25, under
judge Charlotte Patterson, Stella took BOB, Miles BOW, Emmet (GCHB Keadeen's
Sir Emmet Mingus Glas CA RATS) BOS/BOBOH on to owner-handler group 3, Ciarán
SEL, and Lulu (Keadeen's Luck Be a Lady) WB.

Gleann Holy Hannah took a Group 2 in Canada so an excellent weekend for the
Gleann kennel!

The UK has Any Variety Not Separately Classified which means all the dogs
from the various groups show together. It can be daunting but sometimes
Glens can do it as ably illustrated by Jeonty Glynis Making Magic for Zippor
who was Best NSC at Oswestry.

Great weekend everybody!!

19.03.18
Last week Crufts took precedence so let’s make it St Patrick’s Day this week
as, after all, Glen of Imaal Terriers are an Irish Breed. Best of Breed in
Dublin was Abberann Cosmic Cowboy. In Finland at Jamijarvi Group Show BOB
was Gleann Indico Indy and BOS was awarded to Madra Athas Ceinlys Chead
Chra. In Estonia at Narva and Riga the results were the same with Rosears
Master of the House taking Best of Breed both days over Rosears Kate The
Duchess who is now an International Champion. Two shows in the weekend in
Germany with My Dear Fellow Cordula The Angel taking the big rosette over
Rosears Lionheart at one and McJakes Aivy getting the nod at the other with
Lionheart once again Best Opposite. In the Netherlands Madra Áthas Caoilainn
Chéad Ghra took Best of Breed at the International Dogshow KV Rijnland,
Hazerswoude

Kate Flack send news from the US North West: “The 2 day Seattle KC show in
the Pacific Northwest was smaller than in past years, held inside on a warm
& beautiful spring weekend, but nonetheless, Glens made a good entry with
the newest 6 – 9 month puppies showing. Glens were awarded recognition in
both the Owner Handled and regular terrier groups. Saturday: Judge Gale
Young BOB & Terrier Gr 3 KEADEEN’S SECOND STAR TO THE RIGHT, BW DAULTON’S

the back to back shows at Shasta Kennel Club and came away with four Best of
Breeds, 4x OHG1, one Group One and to top it all off Owner Handler Reserve
Best In Show!

Finnabair Double D Friend of a Friend took Group 3 at Tullahoma Kennel Club
& Group 4 in Nashville. Jeonty Golden Memo went east to a cluster in
Kentucky and annexed Best of Breed at Evansville and two of the Mid
Kentucky Kennel Club shows with Abberann Lament for Owner Roe being awarded
Best Dog. At the third Owen Roe was Best of Breed with Kilkenny’s Middleton
of Irish Spirit Best Opposite.

Great going everybody!

Glen of Imaal Terrier people; showing is in their blood.

In Germany it’s been a very nice couple of shows for Jeonty Junior Fire &
Ice with Best of Breed at Monchengladbach and Groningen. A Lithuanian
weekend away for Kennel Glenrosedale “Our catch of three days in Vilnius
Int. Dog Shows. Glenrosedale team had a great success in all shows. We have
