Firstly I would like to thank the officers and committee of Paignton Championship Show for inviting
me to judge Dobermanns and award my first set of CCs. Although a small entry, I had some super
quality to put my hands on. I would also like to thank the exhibitors who entered under me, it was a
pleasure to judge each and everyone of your dogs. It was a truly memorable day.
Class 1234 MPD
1st - NEWFORD’S XHIBITIONIST AT TILNASIA
8 month old brown male. Lovely balanced puppy with good substance. strong head with good
depth of muzzle, enough length of neck into well laid back shoulders, nice straight front and lovely
cat like feet. Good depth of brisket for his age. Well angled rear which he used well on the move.
Moved very sound for such a baby. Look forward to seeing him grow.
Class 1235 PD
1st - KORIFEY DARK KNIGHT
A very mature black and tan 11 month old male. Lovely head with very dark, almond shaped eye.
Correct head shape with good depth of muzzle, correct ear carriage and delightful expression.
Short backed with good tuck up and well angled rear quarters. Super depth of brisket. strong
pasterns stood on nice tight feet. Lovely length of neck into well laid shoulders. Moved very well
around the ring using his rear to really drive.
Class 1236 JD
1st - JASPRICO FRENCH REBELLION ShCM
Outstanding 15 month old black and tan male. This young dog really stood out for me. Everything
is in the right place. A beautiful strong wedge shaped head with the darkest of eyes. Piercing
expression that I really look for. Lovely strong neck into well laid shoulders, short backed with good
tuck up and correct tail set. Lovely forechest and deep brisket, strong pasterns and the tightest of
feet. Moved so sound and with purpose, really driving from behind and very true coming and going.
Really look forward to seeing how this male matures in the future. My pleasure to award him the
RCC.
2nd - JOJAVIK COOKIE MOBSTER
13 month old black and tan male.standard male with a good head, nice depth of muzzle and dark
eye. good length of neck into well laid shoulders and lovely forechest. Good angles fore and rear.
He moved out well, really using his rear.

1st - VIA FELICIUM VETTEL
20 month old upstanding male with good substance and in lovely condition. Nice head with lovely
dark eye and correct ear set. Short backed and ample angles fore and rear. Straight front, strong
pasterns and cat like feet. Moved well, very sound coming and goiing.

1st - KORIFEY AMMOLITE
I have admired this male from afar and he did not disappoint. 20 month old brown male, that oozes
quality. Put down in hard condition and in excellent jacket. Correct size, and balanced all round.
Loved his head with a nice dark almond shaped eye and very kind expression. Nice length of
muzzle with good depth. Strong neck into correct lay of shoulder, lovely forechest and depth of
brisket. Slightly sloping topline and correct tailset. So balanced on the move and so true coming
and going, it was a pleasure to watch. Really holds his topline on the side gait and moves out with
purpose. So pleased for to award him his third CC.

1st - SUPETA’S PANDEMONIUM AT KORIFEY
2 year old black and tan male. Nice head with pleasing expression. dark eye and correct earset.
Strong neck into well laid shoulders, slightly sloping topline and correct tailset. well angled rear.
Strong pasterns and tight feet. Moved out well with purpose, really using his rear.
2nd - LATEAGAIN SATISFACTION
Standard size male with a nice amount of substance with good overall shape. Stands true in front
with nice bone and tight feet. Pleasing head with the right expression and correct bite. Nice spring
of rib with a good top-line and tail-set. Strong and parallel in the rear and moves out well.

1st - CH GRAFMAX ROBERTO ALAGNA JW
Quality 2 year old male of good size. Beautiful condition and well muscled. Strong masculine head
with a dark eye of correct shape. Lovely length of muzzle and depth of jaw. Stands true in front with
good bone and excellent feet. Correct shoulder placement and firm through the neck. Strong and
firm in the top-line with correct tail-set and carriage. Nice length of leg to depth of body and correct
spring of rib. Well-muscled through the rear and strong in the hock. Moved out well, really using his
rear to rotate and drive, holds his topline well. Very true coming and going.
2nd - CH/IR CH JOJAVIK MIDNIGHT EXPRESS JW ShCM
Another quality male, 5 year old black and tan. Standard male with lovely substance and in
beautiful hard condition. Pleasing head with the darkest of eye and correct neat earset. Strong in
front with good feet and bone. Excellent neck and shoulders. Solid firm top-line and tail-set. Strong
and well-muscled through the hind-quarters and strong in hock with good angles. This dog moves
out with purpose and drive and holds his top-line when side-gaiting.

Smart 7 month old brown bitch of lovely type, producing a super outline. Stands true in front with
plenty of bone. Produces a beautiful outline on the stack. Good neck and shoulders, lovely
feminine head with pleasing cheeky expression, nice length of muzzle and depth of jaw. Firm in the
top-line with a good tail-set. Moves soundly on her down and back and produces a super side-gait
for one so young. Turned out in lovely coat and condition. Pleased to award her Best Puppy Bitch
and Best Puppy in Breed.
2nd - ARITAUR GINEROSITY
8 month old black bitch, standard size, short backed with good tuck up. Lovely condition and well
muscled throughout. `Produces a lovely outline on the stack. Pleasing head with dark almond
shaped eye and correct earset. Clean neck into well laid shoulders. Stands very true in front with
the right amount of bone and tight feet. Stands parallel and true from behind. Moves cleanly when
viewed from all angles.

11 month old black bitch, substantial yet elegant with good round bone. Lovely shape on the stack
with a clean outline. Good depth and good forechest. Pretty head with equal head planes and
lovely dark almond shape eyes. Lean neck in well laid shoulders. Moved well, t very true coming
and going.

1st - NERAK DREAMCHASER
Standard bitch of good type and producing a nice outline. Super feminine head with a lovely
expression, excellent neck and shoulders and standing parallel in front with tight feet. Nice spring
of rib and depth of body, firm in top-line and correct tail-set and carriage. Stands true and parallel
behind and turned out in good coat and condition. Moved out well.

1st - JASPRICO FLOWER BOMB
Smart bitch excelling in type, shape and outline. Stands on a quality front with tight feet, super
neck and shoulders. Strong but feminine head with pleasing expression and the darkest of eyes.
Neat ears and correct carriage. Excellent width and depth of muzzle. Firm and correct in top-line
with a good tail-set and carriage. Stands true and parallel fore and rear with lovely firm hocks. Well
muscled throughout. She excels herself on the move, clean both coming and going and produces a
super side-gait.

1st - DIEGO’S DAISY DUKE
Substantial bitch with a balanced outline with a strong but feminine head with a lovely dark eye.
She has a well arched neck leading into a slightly sloping topline. Good front with well pronounced
forechest. Deep chest with tight elbows. Good angulation fore and rear which she used to move
out well around the ring.
2nd - JOJAVIK KISSY SUZUKI ShCM
Very smart with clean outline and well balanced. Attractive head with pleasing expression Good
neckline leading into correct topline and tailset. Angulation fore and aft is good. Moved out well
with reach and drive and was handled superbly.

1st - KORIFEY TREASURE JW ShCM
20 month old very striking brown bitch. Lovely clean outline and in beautiful condition. Strong but
feminine head with level head planes and lovely dark eye. Strong clean arched neck into wel laid
shoulders, good round bone and lovely tight feet. Angulation is good fore and rear and she moved
out well. Very true coming and going.
2nd - JOJAVIK DAPHNE BLAKE AT ZUSACA
Substantial black bitch in superb condition and lovely breed type. Pretty head with dark eyes and
good ear set. Strong neck into well laid shoulders and plenty of angulation fore and rear which she
used to move around the ring with drive.

1st - CH & IR CH JOJAVIK POISON IVY JW ShCM CW16
Have loved this bitch since she was a youngster and for me she’s still got it! She is an absolute
picture on the stand. A beautiful head piece, the darkest of eyes and piercing expression. Strong
arched neck into a beautiful front assembly. clean sloping topline into well muscled and angulated
hindquarters. She is so true on the move coming and going and she is so effortless as she powers
round the ring. Set down in tip top condition. Was my absolute pleasure to award her the CC &
BOB and lovely to see her go on to take WG2.
2nd - ASHLAIN TRYPITI JW ShCM
Another lovely clean bitch with a superb outline. Strong but pretty head with a dark eye and correct
earset. Strong arched neck into well laid shoulders. Tight elbows and deep brisket. Good round
bone and tight feet. Clean sloping topline into a well angulated rear, correct tailset. Lovely balanced
mover with plenty of reach and drive. Pleased to award her the RCC.

It was a great pleasure to judge this friendly, well organised show. There was a lovely atmosphere with lots of applause after each class. I was impressed by the quality of the entry, all of them, without exception, had smashing temperaments and I was impressed by the good muscle tone on most of the exhibits. As a judge, it’s great to have the privilege of judging some of the top winners in the breed so thank you all for the honour – I did appreciate it. I was blessed with a really excellent steward - thank you Paul. The lovely glass trophy will be a memento of a most enjoyable day.

Minor Puppy
1 Jones’ Korifey Dark Knight. He set the tone for the rest of the day with his lovely temperament. Well balanced and presented a lovely clean outline. Flat skull, good length of head, strong nicely arched neck. Excellent feet. Good body for age with typical topline. Sound on the move.
Puppy
1 Mycroft & Browns Supeta’s Backstabber. Masculine yet with some elegance. Very pleasing head, good neck and shoulders. Decent forechest. Strong short back. Decent tuck up. Well angulated and moved out well.
2 Edyveane’s Jojavik Victor Rizzi at Katemead. Handsome with a pleasing head and expression. Not quite the depth of brisket of the winner as yet. Excellent bone, legs and feet. In first class condition and moved soundly with some drive.
Junior
1 Nicol-Jones, Bennet & Ingram’s Jojavik Cookie Monster. Impressive with a lovely clean typical outline. Good length of head, flat skull. Deep ribs, short back and strong loin. Strong hindquarters which were well angulated and gave him some drive on the move.
2 Webb’s Shalissa’s Siriusly Costly. Masculine and well balanced, pleasing head, tight lips and keen expression. Nicely crested neck, could be a tad stronger in pastern. Good body with depth of rib and short loin. Quite exuberant, he is a good moving dog.
3 Orrell’s Shalissa’s Siriusly Nutty
Yearling
1 Murray’s Luftez Solstice. Good length of head with neat ears and keen expression. Strong short back with tyical topline and well set tail. Good hind angulation. Very good profile action but just a tad wide in front coming back to me.
2 Billington’s Luftex Meridian for Yrieix. Pleasing head but could perhaps be a little tighter in lip. Clean neck and shoulders and good depth of brisket. Inclined to pace on the move but once he got into his stride he was sound and quite impressive.
Novice
1 Nicol-Jones, Bennet & Ingram’s Jojavik Cookie Monster.
2 Salisbury & Ralph’s Monarkle Fruit Loop. Strong masculine head with deep muzzle, good neck and shoulders, strong well angulated quarters. Moved soundly but not the vigour or drive from the rear of the winner.

1 Webb’s Shalissa’s Siriusly Costly.
Post Graduate
1 Schneiders’ Shantock Moon River. Another who presented a lovely outline with his short back and nicely arched neck. Good head, decent forechest with depth of brisket. Pleasing round bone. Strong, short loin. Very well muscled and nicely angulated quarters.
2 Groves & Lafford’s Lateagain Satisfaction. Shapely with a good topline which he kept at all times, pleasing forehand. Moved soundly with free, flowing action.
3 Salisbury & Ralph’s Monarkle Space Cadet
Limit
1 Santoriello’s Korifey Amulet JW. Beautifully schooled and does show to best advantage. Excellent forehand. Very pleasing head with flat skull, clean deep muzzle, good forechest. Deep ribs with short broad loin and excellent topline and tail carriage. Moved well with an easy balanced gait. Reserve Best Dog.
2 Morgan’s Newford Moves Like Jagger at Calonmac. A good moving dog with an impressive side gait and good topline which he keeps at all times. Good head with proud carriage, well boded, strong well angulated quarters.

1 Tyler’s Jojavik Bulletproof Bomb JW. Masculine and in really fit, hard condition. Clean head with tight lips. Very good neck and shoulders, good forechest with depth of brisket and short, strong back. Moved soundly with power and vigour and in profile he was most impressive. Best Dog and BOS.

1 Parson’s Ottia Captain Barbossa. Shapely and masculine with good depth of brisket, well ribbed and short coupled. Pleasing head with strong white dentition. Moved out well with some power from the rear.
2 Matthews’ Lebakker Tymur Taraz at Heathwaen ShCM. Really good head and expression, good bone and lovely compact, arched feet. Strong, well angulated quarters. A good mover.

1 Everley’s Manzart Vogue. I thought she was lovely! Good length of head, keen expression, strong arched neck and well laid shoulders. Excellent topline and tailset. Deep ribs, some tuck up and good hind angulation. Beautiful feet which were compact and nicely arched. Most impressive on the move. She beat a very good dog to take BPIS.
2 Tousent & Ingram’s Jojavik Camorra. Close up and she too is impressive in profile, lovely head and expression. Well bodied for age. Sound and powerful on the move.

1 Fisher’s Jojavik Modesty Blaise. Beautifully balanced and impressed on the move with very evident reach and drive. Long, crested neck, depth of brisket and good ribbing. Very typical topline.
2 Webb’s Shalissa’s Siriusly Stunnin. Elegant and feminine, pleasing head and expression. Not quite the shoulders of the winner but well ribbed with a strong, short loin and good topline. Moved well.

Well bodied with good depth of brisket and excellent topline and tail set. Moved out with some power from the rear. A good showgirl.
2 Murray’s Mianna’s Cracklin Rosie at Luftex JW. Lots of quality with a most pleasing head and eye. Well ribbed with typical topline. Sound, powerful and vigorous on the move.

I was told after judging that I had given this bitch a BIS when she was a youngster and I was delighted to have the opportunity to handle her again as a mature adult. She is all of a piece with a good clean head, lovely neck and shoulders with good forechest. She is well boded with a slightly sloping topline and she is completely unexaggerated. She has a powerful, easy fluid action and didn’t let up for a second. Best Bitch and BIS.
2 Ingram’s Ch Jojavik Penelope Pitstop JW ShCM. Again, lots of quality and lovely type. Feminine and elegant with a first class forehand, excellent bone, legs and feet. Short backed with a good topline and she too moves out very well displaying plenty of reach and drive. Reseerv e BIS and

1st : 6 Brown & Mycroft’s Supeta’s Backstabber. 8 month old quality puppy of good shape and outline. Pleasing head and expression for his age with neat ears, nice eye shape and colour and good width and depth of muzzle. Stands true in front with tight feet and a nice fore-chest. Correct in topline with a good tail-carriage, nice length of leg to depth of body and strong and firm on his rear. Moves out cleanly and with purpose.
2nd: 43 Pollard & Cox’s Zeloviak Invictus With Whizzbean. Well off for size and a nice shape. Correct in head with a nice width of skull, neat ears and a correct scissor bite. Stands true in front with enough fore-chest for his age and a nice spring of rib. Good top-line and tail-set and stands true and parallel on the rear. Moves well in front, just needs to tighten a little behind but this should come with age.

2nd: 41 Payne’s Khaneve Blackie at Riddinca. 9 month old with a pleasing head and expression. Well off for size, needs to tighten a little in front. Good top-line and spring of rib. Stands firm in the rear and in good coat with a nice dark tan. Moves soundly.

1st : 50 Santoriello’s Korifey Amulet JW. Big strong dog with plenty of size and substance. Stands true in front with neat feet. Excellent fore-chest and correct in neck and shoulder. Pleasing in head with neat ears, nice eye shape and colour and strong through the muzzle with a correct bite. Good length of leg and depth of body with just the right amount of spring of rib and tuck-up. Firm in the top-line with a good tail-set and carriage. Strong through the rear and well-muscled through the thighs. Moves out with purpose.
Class 4 Yearling Dog ( 2 entries 0 abs )

2nd: 17 Heffernan’s Avamer Ethan. Big strong dog in nice coat. Pleasing in head with good eye shape and colour and correct in mouth. A touch down in pastern and needs to tighten his front and rear a little. Top-line is good but tail-carriage is a touch tight. Moves OK.

2nd: 57 Swinnerton’s Jojavik Donnie Brascoe at Dykas. 4 year old with plenty of size and substance and in good coat. Stands on a true front with neat feet. Good shoulders and strong in the neck. Pleasing in head with a good expression. Firm through the body with a correct top-line and wellmuscled in the rear. Moves out well in front but just a little hocky behind.

Correct shoulder placement and firm through the neck. Pleasing in head with a true expression, neat ears, good eye shape and colour, nice width and depth of muzzle and a correct bite. Strong and firm in the top-line with correct tailset and carriage. Nice length of leg to depth of body and correct spring of rib. Well-muscled through the rear and strong in the hock. Turned out in lovely coat and condition and really excels on the move. Pleasure to award him Best Dog and Best In Show.

Excellent neck and shoulders and pleasing in head with a super expression, neat ears, good eye shape and colour and correct scissor bite. Good length of leg and depth of body with a nice spring of rib. Excellent firm top-line and tailset. Strong and well-muscled through the hind-quarters and strong in hock with good angles. pasterns stood on nice tight feet. Lovely length of neck into well laid shoulders. Moved very well
around the ring using his rear to really drive.

Outstanding 15 month old black and tan male. This young dog really stood out for me. Everything
is in the right place. A beautiful strong wedge shaped head with the darkest of eyes. Piercing
expression that I really look for. Lovely strong neck into well laid shoulders, short backed with good
tuck up and correct tail set. Lovely forechest and deep brisket, strong pasterns and the tightest of
feet. Moved so sound and with purpose, really driving from behind and very true coming and going.
Really look forward to seeing how this male matures in the future. My pleasure to award him the

muzzle with good depth. Strong neck into correct lay of shoulder, lovely forechest and depth of
brisket. Slightly sloping topline and correct tailset. So balanced on the move and so true coming
and going, it was a pleasure to watch. Really holds his topline on the side gait and moves out with

hindquarters. She is so true on the move coming and going and she is so effortless as she powers
round the ring. Set down in tip top condition. Was my absolute pleasure to award her the CC &

It was a great pleasure to judge this friendly, well organised show. There was a lovely atmosphere with lots of applause after each class. I was impressed by the quality of the entry, all of them, without exception, had smashing temperaments and I was impressed by the good muscle tone on most of the exhibits. As a judge, it’s great to have the privilege of judging some of the top winners in the breed so thank you all for the honour – I did appreciate it. I was blessed with a really excellent steward - thank you Paul. The lovely glass trophy will be a memento of a most enjoyable day.

1 Mycroft & Browns Supeta’s Backstabber. Masculine yet with some elegance. Very pleasing head, good neck and shoulders. Decent forechest. Strong short back. Decent tuck up. Well angulated and moved out well.
2 Edyveane’s Jojavik Victor Rizzi at Katemead. Handsome with a pleasing head and expression. Not quite the depth of brisket of the winner as yet. Excellent bone, legs and feet. In first class condition and moved soundly with some drive.

I was told after judging that I had given this bitch a BIS when she was a youngster and I was delighted to have the opportunity to handle her again as a mature adult. She is all of a piece with a good clean head, lovely neck and shoulders with good forechest. She is well boded with a slightly sloping topline and she is completely unexaggerated. She has a powerful, easy fluid action and didn’t let up for a second. Best Bitch and BIS.

What an absolute pleasure to judge this breed today, with so many quality dogs to choose from and such a sporting crowd of exhibitors. I was delighted with my entry of 71 dogs and it was great to see that so many of my top winners were closely related, so very satisfying from a judge’s point of view.

Class 1 Minor Puppy Dog ( 4 entries 0 abs )
1st : 6 Brown & Mycroft’s Supeta’s Backstabber. 8 month old quality puppy of good shape and outline. Pleasing head and expression for his age with neat ears, nice eye shape and colour and good width and depth of muzzle. Stands true in front with tight feet and a nice fore-chest. Correct in topline with a good tail-carriage, nice length of leg to depth of body and strong and firm on his rear. Moves out cleanly and with purpose.
2nd: 43 Pollard & Cox’s Zeloviak Invictus With Whizzbean. Well off for size and a nice shape. Correct in head with a nice width of skull, neat ears and a correct scissor bite. Stands true in front with enough fore-chest for his age and a nice spring of rib. Good top-line and tail-set and stands true and parallel on the rear. Moves well in front, just needs to tighten a little behind but this should come with age.

1st : 37 Nicoll-Jones, Bemand, Ingram & Ingram’s Jojavik Cookie Monster. 10 month old put down in hard condition and in excellent jacket. Stands true in front with just the right amount of bone and nice, tight feet. Correct shoulder placement, strong in the neck with a quality head piece. Neat in the ear, good eye shape and colour, excellent width and depth of muzzle and correct dentition. Good fore-chest and nice spring of rib. Good length of leg and depth of body. Firm in the top-line with just the right amount of tuck-up underneath. Very strong and well-muscled through the rear with the right amount of angulation. So true on the move when viewed from all angles. Best Puppy Dog.
2nd: 41 Payne’s Khaneve Blackie at Riddinca. 9 month old with a pleasing head and expression. Well off for size, needs to tighten a little in front. Good top-line and spring of rib. Stands firm in the rear and in good coat with a nice dark tan. Moves soundly.

1st : 50 Santoriello’s Korifey Amulet JW. Big strong dog with plenty of size and substance. Stands true in front with neat feet. Excellent fore-chest and correct in neck and shoulder. Pleasing in head with neat ears, nice eye shape and colour and strong through the muzzle with a correct bite. Good length of leg and depth of body with just the right amount of spring of rib and tuck-up. Firm in the top-line with a good tail-set and carriage. Strong through the rear and well-muscled through the thighs. Moves out with purpose.

1st : 2 Billington’s Luftez Meridian for Yrieix. 18 month old of good size and substance and in nice coat. Stands parallel in front, just slightly down on pastern. Good spring of rib and fore-chest, firm in the neck and pleasing in head and expression. Parallel in the rear, firm top-line and correct tail-set and carriage. Moves out soundly.
2nd: 17 Heffernan’s Avamer Ethan. Big strong dog in nice coat. Pleasing in head with good eye shape and colour and correct in mouth. A touch down in pastern and needs to tighten his front and rear a little. Top-line is good but tail-carriage is a touch tight. Moves OK.

Pleasing in head with a good expression. Firm through the body with a correct top-line and wellmuscled in the rear. Moves out well in front but just a little hocky behind.

Stands true in front with good feet. Strong neck leading to nice shoulders and a firm top-line. Correct amount of spring of rib for her age, with just enough tuck-up. Stands parallel and true behind with a good tail-set and carriage. Moves cleanly when viewed from all angles.

Moves out with drive and purpose and is sound when viewed from all angles.

Parallel in the rear, well-muscled and strong through the hocks. Really uses herself on the move, both coming and going, and produces a lovely side-gait.

Nice width and depth of muzzle, which makes for such a pleasing expression. Good neck and shoulders, super front and feet and strong and firm through the body with correct spring of rib. Strong in topline leading to a good tail-set and carriage. Parallel and well-muscled through the rear and excels on the move producing a good side-gait. Turned out in super condition. Splitting hairs between these two.
