Thank you for the lovely entry which I was really looking forward to judging. Sadly, the elements conspired against us and understandably, there were a number of absentees. Thankfully, however, there was plenty of quality and I had no hesitation in awarding the CCs today. Temperaments were excellent.

Class 1797 JD (3 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: 6527 MONAGHAN Mr & Mrs P M & H D Tweedsmuir Freelander. Strong, masculine skull, well set ears and good mouth with strong white teeth. Good length of neck and pleasing carriage. Good bone and feet, could be a little tighter in elbow. Excellent topline and tailset. Free moving and well-muscled. Hard, straight outer coat.

Class 1798 PGD (3 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 6515 HERBERT Mr D Tweedsmuir Stargazer. He is I see a slightly older full brother to Freelander. Good skull, attractive expression, dark points, decent forehand with a nicely arched neck. Ribbed well back with a short loin and this gave him a very good topline. Strong well angulated hindquarters. Could move with a little more enthusiasm but he is soundly made and moved accordingly. Reserve CC.

Class 1799 LD (5 Entries) Abs: 4
1st: 6537 WOODHEAD Mrs J Knowlespring Drummer Boy. Just a day or two short of his second birthday, I thought he was lovely. Strong masculine, well-proportioned head with a kind, expressive eye. Dark points and good fringing. Good forehand with decent bone and strong limbs. Good length of rib and strong, short loin. Very free moving with a strong, powerful action and he was obviously enjoying his day out. Good quality jacket. CC & BOB.

Class 1803 MPB (2 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 6521 MCKENZIE, Mr E & SCOTT Dr D Bearreraig Rubha Sughar At Borcho. Just six months and a delightful character with plenty of promise for the future. Pleasing feminine head with good bite and strong muzzle, decent forehand with adequate bone and strength. Well balanced and free moving once she got into her stride. Well pigmented and has good dark points.

Class 1804 PB (1 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 6521 MCKENZIE, Mr E & SCOTT Dr D Bearreraig Rubha Sughar At Borcho

Class 1805 JB (5 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: 6514 HEATH Mrs R Perrylands Hello Again. Attractive with a heavy straight coat and dark points. Dark, well pigmented eye, good skull and strong muzzle. Decent neck and shoulders with adequate bone. Firm level topline and well-set tail. Free moving in profile.
2nd: 6502 BODEN Mr & Mrs D K & S L Tweedsmuir Flite Of Fancy Among Suelynda. A good moving bitch. Pleasing head and expression just a shade finer in muzzle than the winner. Well set ears, not quite the maturity of body of the winner. Sound and free moving.
3rd: 6535 SHAW Mr T & Mrs C Tweeds Muir Fancy Free at Stonecellars NAF

Class 1806 PGB (5 Entries) Abs: 4
1st: 6526 MILLER Miss K F Feorlig Up Up And Away. Soundly made and standing presents a handsome outline with her nicely crested neck, good forehand and pleasing body proportions. Good length of rib, short loin and good topline. Moved soundly if a little unenthusiastic.

Class 1807 LB (4 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 6534 RYAN Mr E L Feorlig Romantica. I see she is sired by the Best Veteran and she possesses many of his qualities. Strong yet feminine head with a lovely expression. Nicely arched neck and good forehand. Well ribbed with firm level topline and ell set and carried tail. Strong well angulated hindquarters which she used to best advantage on the move. Good quality jacket which was presented to best advantage. CC.
2nd: 6538 WOODHEAD Mrs J Knowlespring Candy Cane. Reserve CC and I see she is litter sister to Drummer Boy. Like the winner she too has a lovely outline and is very pleasing to handle. Attractive head with expressive eye, strong muzzle and dark points. Not quite as collected as the winner on the move but she is very promising and with ordinary luck should finish at the top. Reserve CC.
3rd: 6528 MONAGHAN Mr & Mrs P M & H D Tweedsmuir Shooting Star
