Terrier Group.

Thanks to the Society for the invite and for the hospitality on the day. I was down to judge the Terrier Group, and what a Group. I was really impressed with the quality and a big thank you to the Breed Judges for sending thru' such strong contenders....cheers.
Terrier Group 1, was the WFT, Malzoni's, Ch / AM. Ch. Hampton Courts Monti Cristo, well known quality dog of lovely type & balance, put down to a T. Moved so soundly around the ring with so much to like about him. Lovely head, best of fronts with well laid shoulders, grand body, harsh coat, short backed dog that went with drive presenting a level top line. He looked a picture and was completely in tune with his handler.
Terrier Group 2, was a delightful Cairn bitch, Clarke's, Ch. Lentrica Dolly Daydream JW, loved her expression, best of fronts with well laid shoulders, pleasing all round & in good coat. Very typey bitch that moves so soundly, she has style and presented a lovely profile.
Terrier Group 3, the beautiful Westie bitch, owned by the Burn's, Ch. Burnese Our Marnie, what a Showgirl, short backed bitch of top quality, lovely expression with dark eye & well set ears, grand body & quarters, lovely coat & condition, Showed & presented to a T.
Terrier Group 4, old favourite who I see has gained another tittle. Hall & Ellis', Ch/Ger.Ch. Brackenfell Bok to Bach JW, WW17, lovely otter head, best of fronts with good feet, ribs back & spanable, thick pelt, presents a nice profile with neat caroty tail, moves true both ways with purpose & good drive from strong quarters.

It was a particular strong Group with Quality in depth. I short listed a number of exhibits with some excellent representatives of their breeds. Notably was the Norfolk Terrier, Ch. Arderry Penny Red to Jaeva, owned by Gullick & Stuivenberg's and the Clarke's, SCW Terrier, Ch.Flaxela Weaver of Dreams, JW, ShCM, who pushed hard and deserved a mention.
